What is your favorite Jane Austen novel? Why? Pride and Prejudice because it was the first of her novels that I read and it's one of the few that I can read again and again without getting tired of it.
Who is your favorite Jane Austen character and why? This is a really hard question to answer to be honest, but I think I'm going to have to go with Elizabeth Bennet because I admire her fortitude. It takes a lot to be able to go through all that she has gone through and still get the guy in the end. She's also smart and witty which makes for a funny read.
Do you agree with the quote, the course of true love never did run smooth? Explain: Yes because if a relationship goes smoothly, there's nothing to keep it going. There have to be a few bumps in the road to make the end result so much more fulfilling.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Read or write.
Please explain the origin/meaning of your username: I love Shakespeare and Twelfth Night was one of the first plays of his that I read and that I really loved.
Are you close with your family and if so, which members? I'm closest with my brother, who I can talk to about a lot of things. After that, I'm close with my Grandmother, my father's mother who I call Pomp. With both of them I don't have to hide myself and can just be.
Describe for us what your house/apartment/bedroom/dorm room looks like (and post pictures if you’d like): My apartment is tiny because it's an on-campus apt. All the furniture that's in it the school provided, so it's not that comfortable. My room, however, is pretty comfortable. My bed, I've been told, is one of the most comfortable to lay on. I have a calendar that my mom got me as a joke called "Studs in Spurs" that has half naked cowboys on it. I have postcards of James Dean, Audrey Hepburn, and The Beatles. I also have posters of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom up as well as two phots of Paris. I have a bookcase that is full of my favorite novels and some that I have yet to read, but plan on getting to sometime this summer.
What city or country have you never been to but would like to visit and why? Great Britain because Pomp's family is from England and Wales and one of my best friend lives in Hudderfield, Hertfordshire and I want to see her again.
Aside from fictional characters, who is someone you admire, and what do you admire about them? Audrey Hepburn because she went through so much growing up during the war and then later in to become the person she was. I also admire her work with UNICEF because it takes an incredibly strong person to do what she did with those orphans.
What do you love most about your closest friends and what makes you so close? We get each other with little effort. We understand each other's mood swings and how to handle different situations with each other. It takes a lot to get us upset with each other and when that does happen, we know how to handle it. We also have a lot in common and like many of the same things.
What really upsets you? Someone breaking my trust in me or lying to me. Trust is a big thing and having that broken upsets me greatly.
If a friend takes you to a party where you know no one else, how do you act? I'll stand and glower at people and I might try talking to people I don't know if I'm comfortable enough with them.
What valuable mementos do you keep from childhood or from your past? I keep my copies of my childhood books, my dolls and stuffed animals, and the mini Louisville Slugger baseball bat that my brother gave me when I was little.
